About a week ago, my HP850 suddenly stopped printing MS-Word doc files and now gives me an "out of paper" error message. It still works well on txt and photos. I've tried reloading the driver and have installed all the updates to no avail. I am using XP. Does anyone have a clue?

Parallel port printer will no longer print

XP SP2 Lexmark E238, self tests fine. Was working now will not print. Have un-installed, powered off 'puter. Powered off printer (pulled plug). Turn on puter then turn on printer. XP finds new hardware says it is installed. No Joy. Ideas? What to do, prefer from experience. TIA Lou
